"Soon I Will Visit The South East Region" - Buhari.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu joined other leaders of the South East in a meeting with President Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja earlier today.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was also present at the meeting.
 At the meeting which included the Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Enweremadu, South East Governors, Members of the National Assembly from the South East and the leadership of OHANEZE NDIGBO, the leaders told the President to deal more fairly with Igbos in the area of appointments, infrastructure, etc.

In specific terms, the leaders mentioned federal highways in the South East such as the Enugu Onitsha highway, the Port Harcourt Enugu Highway, the Aba Owerri Highway, the Arochukwu Ohafia Highway, etc.
They also spoke about the expansion of the Enugu Airport, the Port at Onitsha and other facilities.

President Buhari assured the leaders and people of Igboland that he has no hidden agenda against them. He stated that he gave Igbo sons four substantive ministerial positions on his government including those of foreign affairs, and trade and investment, while seven northern states have ministers of state.

He assured the people that the South East will benefit from massive road and rail infrastructure from his government. He then told the delegation that he will personally visit the South East shortly to interact with the people.

He stated that he came into office with a clear conscience and plans to leave office with a clear conscience and no malice towards anyone.
