Fire on the mountain as FG Seeks Extradition Of 311 Powerful Nigerians over looted funds

In its bid to stem the tide of criminally-minded Nigerians from hibernating in foreign lands after committing heinous crimes in the country, the Federal Government has sought the repatriation of no fewer than 311 of such high-profile suspects from their hideouts across the world.

The government has not, however, revealed the identities of the suspects, the amount looted by them and where they are taking refuge at the moment.

But while that remains, the government has also received 636 extradition requests from foreign governments to assist them in dealing with such elements, who fled their lands after committing serious offences.

The suspects are wanted in their home countries to answer to alleged crimes perpetuated by them before they fled such countries to seek safe haven in Nigeria.
Of the number received, the federal government has forwarded a total of 503 requests to competent authorities for execution.

The information was contained in a document made available to Vanguard from the Of…

Aww Why?! 8-year-old maid beaten to death by her madam in Lagos

An 8-year-old girl has died in Lagos after she was beaten to death by her female employer. The suspect, who is a mother-of-two and pregnant with her third, was reportedly in the habit of maltreating the victim and a second house help living with her.

According to neighbours, the suspect, known as Oby in her neighbourhood in Isolo, 'usually beats and overworks' the deceased, Miracle Edegwu, and her colleague. She had also withdrawn both girls from school after she brought them from Anambra state to Lagos. When neighbours confronted her about the way she treated the girls, she remained defiant and told them to mind their business.

Early on Saturday morning, she launched another attack on the little girl, leading to her death.

After Miracle died, Oby tried to cover her death by contacting people to assist in covertly disposing of the body but they were caught by neighbours who then reported to the authorities. The suspect was then detained at the Isolo Police Division.

The victim’s …

The two words your boss never wants to hear from you

According to Ben Cohen/NBC | 2014 NBCUniversal Media, LLC. Employees who use this phrase think they're being helpful. In fact, they're just adding to their manager's workload. More I've been managing teams for about six years now, and there's one phrase I've grown to hate hearing from employees: "Somebody should..." Sometimes this phrase is followed by a very specific task or product improvement. Other times, it's a suggestion to change a process, either on our team or somewhere else in the company. Employees who use this phrase think they're being helpful. They think they're saying, "I'm a strategic and creative thinker who looks beyond the limits of my defined role and thinks of ways to improve the fortunes of the business overall. Please consider my larger value to the company when you think about my performance." But that's not what their boss hears. Their boss hears, "I'd like to add another task to your to-…

Again?! Melania Trump Snubs ANOTHER Of Donald's Attempts To Hold Her Hand

It’s likely unintentional, but Melania Trump has yet again snubbed her husband, President Donald Trump, as he attempted to hold her hand on Tuesday. The moment happened when FLOTUS and POTUS arrived in Rome for their first audience with Pope Francis at the Vatican. It’s the couple’s third stop in the administration’s first international tour; they were in Saudi Arabia over the weekend and Israel earlier this week.  While deplaning from their flight from Tel Aviv, Trump made a move to hold Melania’s hand. Melania ― who probably didn’t see her husband’s gesture ― swipes her hair behind her ear instead.  Trump then put his hand behind her back to hide the fumble: View photos
More This comes just a day after Melania swatted Trump’s hand away on the tarmac in Tel Aviv, which was first spotted by Twitter user @raggapegs:  LOL! Melania in Tel Aviv is as MISERABLE, as Melania in the U.S. Watch her push away the CREEP's hand. PRICELESSThis guy is DISGUSTING! — Voice of Reason (@raggapegs)  …

Anyone can commit a crime; either a pastor, banker, student or blogger. It's not about their profession or calling, it's about an individual's ability to overcome greed.

The culprit, who has been on the run for days, was arrested Tuesday afternoon, following a coordinated operation of civilians and undercover policemen, following a tip off.

He is currently being held at Idimu Police Station, Area M, Alimoso Division of Lagos c…
