Eric Trump blasts his Dad’s haters, says they're not people

President Donald Trump’s son, Eric in a TV appearance on Tuesday reacted over the ongoing probe of his father's presidential campaign saying that the Democrats who are in support of the investigation are ‘not even people'.

    "I've never seen hatred like this, and to me they're not even people," he said in an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity.

    "You see the Democratic Party they're imploding. They're imploding. They have no message. You see the head of the DNC who is a total whack job. There's no leadership there. And so what do they do? They become obstructionists because they have no message of their own."

On Wednesday morning, Democratic National Committee chairman, Tom Perez tweeted in response,

    ‘Eric, Democrats are people. So are Muslims, immigrants, women, people with pre-existing conditions, and everyone else Trump is hurting."

Senator Shehu Sani who represents Kaduna Central in the senate took to his Facebook page to react to calls by some Northern Youths for Igbos residing in the region to leave on or before October 1st.

    "No region or any ethnic group has the right to eject or instigate an ejection of other ethnic group.This is a republic that has come to stay.In the past it overcame secession,ethnic and religious violence and shall always outlive those promoting it" - he wrote

38 year old Ajibade Rasheed pictured above, has been arrested by the Osun State Police Command, for being in possession of fresh human parts in Osogbo, the state capital.

While parading him before newsmen today, the state commissioner of Police, Fimihan Adeoye, said Ajibade was apprehended at Olu-Ode area with the fresh head of a woman, intestine, lung, vagina, liver and a bottle containing blood, all inside his car with registration no: LSD 987 DJ. Adeoye said investigation has commenced to identify the victim.

    “A female head, two human palms, livers, lungs, intestines, vagina and some charms were found in his possession. A bottle filled with a red liquid substance suspected to be blood was also found in his possession. We are working on getting the identity of the victim. On the completion of our investigation, the suspect will be prosecuted accordingly” he said

Here Are Nigerian States That 'Haven't Paid Workers in 2017'

Civil servants in Abia, Oyo, Benue, Ondo, Kogi, and Ekiti states have not received salaries in 2017, a survey conducted by BudgIT, a civic tech organisation, has shown.

An official statement released in Abuja by BudgIT Nigeria indicates that up to 20 states owe their workers including pensioners their entitlements ranging from one to 36 months.

BudgITng said it decided to conduct a qualitative analysis of the frequency of salary payment of six different categories of workers in all the 36 states.

According to TheCable news, the survey by BudgITng, covered primary school teachers, secondary school teachers, local government workers, state independent workers, pensioners and state secretariat workers.

A part of the statement read; “In particular, we discovered that many states have defaulted in the payments of pensions and gratuities.

El-Rufai Orders Arrest Of Youths Who Gave Igbos 3 Months To Exit North

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has ordered the arrest of people behind the three-month quit notice given to Igbos to leave the North.

In a statement signed by his spokesman, Samuel Aruwan, El-Rufai strongly condemned, “the inciting, hate speech delivered by some self-appointed ‘northern youths.”

El-Rufai said, ”the Kaduna State Government has directed that its Ministry of Justice should prepare charges and prosecute the signatories and anyone complicit in arranging this egregious assault on the rights of fellow citizens.”

The Governor condemned the action of the groups, and assured every resident of the state that, “nobody can tamper with their freedom to reside where they choose.”

22-year-old female child trafficker arrested in Anambra

A 22-year-old woman arrested by the Special Armed Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Anambra State Police Command has confessed to having sold 20 children since she went into child trafficking business. Most of the children she sold between N150,000 - N200,000, were kidnapped on their way home from school. The suspect, Chinaza Onwuasoanya was impregnated by her boyfriend in Lagos and returned to Anambra State to have the baby after which she sold the child to a 45-year-old woman, Goodness, who runs an orphanage, which the police allege was a cover for a baby trafficking operation.

Onwuasoanya sold her newborn baby girl to Goodness, in exchange for the sum of N150,000. On realizing that she could make easy money from selling children, she moved into child-trafficking. Recounting her journey into child-trafficking, Onwuasoanya told Sunday Sun, she said:

Prison Congestion: Zamfara State to review over 700 cases - Chief Judge, Justice Kulu Aliyu

The Chief Judge of Zamfara State, Justice Kulu Aliyu, has said that over 700 cases will soon be reviewed in its bid to crack down prison congestion and wrongful imprisonment in the state.

Aliyu made this known while speaking to journalists in Gusau on Monday at the commencement of her annual prison tour.

She noted that the Gusau Medium Prison was overcrowded, subjecting inmates to other dangers, especially healthcare issues.

    “Since the tour will afford us more opportunities to see the situation and conditions of inmates, we are very likely going to review many cases,” the CJ said

On the issue of wrongful imprisonment, she said: “all those inmates wrongly accused and imprisoned will be set free because that is the dispensation of justice.”

The Chief also charged  judges in the state to be “more diligent in the discharge of their duties, adding that if judges and the police were doing their job effectively, the issue of prison congestion will not arise.”

George Clooney has become a first-time father at the age of 56, as his wife Amal has given birth to twins.

A spokesman for the couple confirmed that the Clooneys have welcomed their newborns into the world, naming them Ella and Alexander.

In a statement, a representative said: "Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. "

Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine.”

Reps To Hold Special Session To Mark 2nd Anniversary

In commemoration of its second anniversary, the House of Representatives will on Friday, 9th June, hold a special session where its Legislative Agenda will be appraised.

The House will also use the occasion to assess its achievements in the last two years, including its record breaking processing and passage of Bills.

A breakdown of the Bills show that so far 1,055 were introduced, 159 were passed, 500 are in process while 33 were negatived.

The 8th House of Representatives also honoured the request of Nigerians for an #OpenNass by publishing the details of National Assembly Budget.

Focus will also be on passage of all anti-corruption related bills, Petroleum Industry Bill, modernisation of the process of Law making towards E-parliament and arrangements for electronic voting system to ease the process and ensure more accountability and transparency.

Northern Group Orders Igbos Out Of Region

Prominent northern youth groups on Tuesday, gave the Igbos up till October 1 this year to leave the northern region.
The order was contained in a statement issued after a meeting in Kaduna state.

They asked the Igbo residing in the region to “start making plans to leave.”

Their order was premised on the shut-down of major towns in south-eastern part of the country on May 30, by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its sponsors.

The northern youths organisations, which had their leaders in attendance, include Arewa citizens action for change, Arewa youth consultative forum, Arewa youth development foundation, Arewa students forum and Northern emancipation network on the Igbo persistence for recession among others.

Abdulazeez Suleiman, one of the leaders, who read the statement on behalf of others said the region was “tired of the marriage”, hence the need for restructuring.
