Former Jigawa State Governor Saminu Turaki Granted bail.

On Thursday July 13, 2017 Justice Halilu Yusuf of the Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja granted bail to the former governor of Jigawa State, Ibrahim Saminu Turaki.

The former governor was re-arraigned on a 32-count charge of misappropriating N36 billion while in office, after successfully challenging the jurisdiction of the FCT High Court, where he was first arraigned before Justice Binta Murtala Nyako.

Since his re-arraignment, Turaki refused to attend trial a situation which resulted in the Commission declaring him wanted in May, 2013.

Operatives of EFCC finally apprehended him on July 4, 2017 at a public function in Abuja, pursuant to a bench warrant issued by the Federal High Court, Dutse, Jigawa State.

Army Chief Congratulates NDDC Over infrastructural work.

The General Officer Commanding, GOC 6 Division, Nigeria Army, Major-General Enobong Okon Udoh, has commended the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, for supporting the Army in developing infrastructural facilities in the newly established division headquarters in Port Harcourt.

Major-General Udoh, who spoke during the ceremony marking the operationalization of the 6 Division on Thursday, specially applauded the NDDC Managing Director, Mr Nsima Ekere, for demonstrating readiness to cooperate with the military and the 6 Division in the provision of security and the maintenance of peace and order in the Niger Delta.

The GOC thanked the NDDC for pledging to contribute to the provision of infrastructure in the different barracks in the Niger Delta. He stated that the Commission had awarded a contract for the rehabilitation of the four-kilometre road running through the 6 Division headquarters.

The former Real Housewife took to Instagram to call out a headline that accused her of being financially supported by Kourtney Kardashian amidst Pippen's divorce from former basketball player Scottie Pippen.

The article in question alleges that Scottie has cut off the reality star, leaving her to rely on eldest Kardashian sister for support. Pippen, however, says it's total BS.
