Eating Suya and Roasted Plantain can cause Cancer – Prof.Borodo.

The President, Society for Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Nigeria President, Prof Musa Borodo, warned Nigerians at a press briefing commemorating the 10th Scientific Conference and Annual General Meeting of the association in Ado Ekiti.

Borodo told Nigerians that diseases such as colorectal cancer, liver cancer, helicobacter pyloris and other infections that occur in the gastrointestinal tract, are usually not easy to detect when looking out for signs and symptoms.

And when the symptoms are obvious they are often too late to treat. According to him, about 10 percent of people in Nigeria are suffering from Hepatitis B – a viral infection – which he warned could lead to cancer, if not properly treated.

“This (Hepatitis B) is something that can be prevented, if you don’t treat it, it could become cancer. So, it is a huge problem.” Borodo said it was chosen to create awareness on early detection of cancer, prevention and cure.

Borodo lamented that two cases of cancer at end stage are re…

Photo Of Mugabe sleeps off at his presidential campaign.

Zimbabwe President, Robert Mugabe was caught sleeping by the camera at his Presidential campaign rally.

This is not the first time the 93-year old president would be caught napping during important political meetings, but he has often been defended by his loyal wife and others.

Mugabe was also caught on camera sleeping during an important function occurred last Saturday during a campaign rally. As President Robert Mugabe’s wife, Grace took presidential spokesperson George Charamba down a peg or two before a stunned Zanu PF crowd and a television audience Saturday, Mugabe was pictured enjoying an afternoon snooze.

Grace was shouting the information ministry permanent secretary down for allegedly influencing the State media to ignore her philanthropic work while reserving good coverage for others.

Here are some After s*x Rules for Women To Keep Healthy.

• Wipe down with gentle soap and water. Bacteria from the fingers, mouth, and rectum can increase a woman’s chance of developing yeast or bacterial infection after s*x, says obstetrics-gynaecologist, Sherry Ross. She recommends using a non-fragrant soap to wash the v**ina after s*x. Simply take a warm washcloth and gently dab the area with soap and water (or just warm water), moving from front to back. “Internal cleaning (such as douching) isn’t necessary, because the v**ina has its own internal wash cycle that keeps it clean and balanced, she adds. So, no douches allowed.

• Soak in the bathtub. Besides making you feel like the pampered s*x queen that you are, adding extra virgin coconut oil to a warm bath can help hydrate the skin of the outer v**ina and sooth any vaginal swelling or irritation that occurs after s*x, says Ross. Again, this reduces your risk of infection, she adds

• Note your discomfort during s*x. Sometimes, s*x can be painful or uncomfortable for a woman. It is there…

Exclusive Breastfeeding Does Not Sag The Breast.

Mrs Olubunmi Aiyedun , the President National Association of Nigeria Paediatric Nurses says exclusive breastfeeding does not flatten or make chest sag. Aiyedun made this known when she featured at a forum of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Sunday.
The paediatrician, who noted that a lot of women prefer not to feed their babies exclusively because they don’t want their br**sts to sag or get flattened, described it as a myth.
According to Aiyedun, whether or not a woman  exclusively breastfeed her child, the chest will still fall later in her life when it is time for the chest to rest.
She stressed the need for every nursing mother to exclusively breastfeed their children, noting that it helps to reduce the risk of developing chest and ovarian cancer.
Aiyedun advised nursing mothers to wear good bra when breasting in order to help package the chest to make it firm.
On chest milk, the paediatrician said that it contains mostly water, adding that there was no reason to give babies…

Parents Of The Freed Six Students Express Fear Over Their Changed Characters.

Parents of the six students of the Lagos State Model College, who were released on Friday, after spending 64 days in the creeks with militants, are beginning to express fear over some characteristics being exhibited by their children.

This was even as others insisted their children returned from the creek and became prayer warriors, more on their knees than feet.

Most of the parents spoke on the condition of anonymity, claiming that security agents were monitoring and that they had been warned not to speak with journalists.

Two fathers yesterday expressed fear over the display of their children. These men were part of parents that rejoiced on Friday, after they heard of the release of their children and eventually held them in their warm embrace.

Yesterday their voices were laced with worry and fear.
One of them said: “There is something wrong with my son; but I really can’t place my finger on it. We’re still observing him. Medically, they are still treating them.

There is no way the child…

How To Keep Yourself Busy When Your Flight Is Delayed.

Flight cancellations and delays are a norm among our airlines. Without providing information, they simply announce that your flight has been canceled or delayed. You are shocked and angry not because of the cancellation but due to the lack of courtesy for you and other customers.

A good example is Medview Airline that canceled its flight from Nigeria to London thereby leaving many passengers stranded at the airport in both Nigeria and London. They did not make any provision for these passengers. Anyway, Jumia Travel shares ways you can deal with flight delays and cancellation.

Getting the news that your flight has been abruptly canceled can easily make you lose focus. This is because you already schedule your itinerant and not flying on that day can be costly. Think of the next thing you have to do. Is it for someone to pick you up at the airport? Call your boss? Or find a place to sleep?

Keep your cool
You will not be blamed if you lose your cool. You have all the right to go be…

How To Say A Prayer Of Appreciation

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1

We trudged slowly back to the car through a crowded parking lot in the Texas summer heat. Hot, humid, full sun bearing down. I noticed my daughter matching my steps, walking close by my side the entire way back. Little legs stretching out as far as they could to match my stride. She smiled up at me and said, "Mom, look, I'm walking in your shade." She'd found the shadow, the safe place to walk. I loved that my side was her shield, giving her protection from the heat.

We may not always see it, or feel it, we might forget it’s there at times, or even wonder if God has left us to fend for ourselves in the heat of hard situations of life. But His protection is real.

He doesn't, He can't, forget us or ignore us. If we belong to Him, His love is too great to leave us on our own.

In whatever troubles we face today, God is the place of refuge we can run to, He is our safe…
