Goodluck Jonathan Decried The Lack Of Progress In The Construction Of Bodo-Bonny Road In Rivers.

Jonathan made his position known when he received a delegation of High Chiefs from Bonny kingdom led by the Amanyanabo of Bonny, King Edward Dappa Pepple, at the Presidential Villa.

The president noted that the N24 billion road contract awarded under former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration was revoked because of lack of proper design.

He said if the project had been implemented even at 5km a year, it would have been completed.

He explained that the contract had to be revoked because necessary requirements were not met in the procurement of the contract.

He assured the delegation that government was now ready to put up the procurement for the construction of the road.

“I will not want to bore you with details of the lapses in the first procurement of the Bodo-Bonny Road.

“Why the contract did not hold was because there were major lapses. It is almost like the story of the East-West Road that was awarded without proper design and so with time, it got stocked.

“We just had t…

NNPC Has Indefinitely Shut Down Production In Kaduna And Warri Refineries.

A string of below par operation by the Kaduna and Warri refinery has forced the NNPC to close it down for the purpose of reducing costs.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has indefinitely shut down two of the nation’s three refineries due to increase in their operation costs and several maintenance interventions.

A top official of the corporation told Daily Trust, yesterday, that Kaduna and Warri refineries had been down in July and yet to resume production till date.

“Kaduna refinery (KRPC) is about to start complete overhaul – Turn Around Maintenance (TAM). Once the assessment is finished, we will have an idea (when it will be back),” the official said, adding that only the Port Harcourt refinery is functioning at the moment.
Checks showed that both refineries have suffered intermittent shut downs this year. The 125,000 barrels per day (bpd) Warri refinery had only in January resumed production but operations were halted again in March due to a power problem.

"The Spiritual side Of Aso Rock" -Reuben Abati.

People tend to be alarmed when the Nigerian Presidency takes certain decisions. They don’t think the decision makes sense. Sometimes, they wonder if something has not gone wrong with the thinking process at that highest level of the country.

I have heard people insist that there is some form of witchcraft at work in the country’s seat of government. I am ordinarily not a superstitious person, but working in the Villa, I eventually became convinced that there must be something supernatural about power and closeness to it. I’ll start with a personal testimony.

I was given an apartment to live in inside the Villa. It was furnished and equipped. But when my son, Michael arrived, one of my brothers came with a pastor who was supposed to stay in the apartment. But the man refused claiming that the Villa was full of evil spirits and that there would soon be a fire accident in the apartment. He complained about too much human sacrifice around the Villa and advised that my family must never s…

The Recipes To Prevent Your Man From Being Unfaithful To You.

The truth is that there is no magic recipe to prevent him from cheating on you, but we can share some tips to avoid him being unfaithful.

Here are some secrets that will never make him cheat on you.

Do not let him feel that he conquered you completely:
When you start to be available to him all the time, you want to do what he always says and becomes your priority, men automatically feel that “they already have you conquered” and lose a little interest. Without overdoing it, make him believe that he is not your priority and that you are with him because YOU WANT and not because you NEED it. There is a big difference.

Give yourself your place:
Although they get angry, men like women who put them in their place. If he wants to go overboard, immediately give yourself your place, he will know that he can not play games with you and, at the same time, he will be more attracted to you.

Be sure of yourself: Even the most beautiful women have been cheated, it has nothing to do with beauty, but w…

Goodluck Jonathan Cries Out That He Is Not To Be Blamed For Aso Rock Clinic.

Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan has debunked the news making the round in the media that his administration would be probed by the committee set up by the House of Representatives to look into how the budget allocated to the State House Medical Centre since 2015 was spent.

He said he had nothing to do with the 2015 Budget before he handed over power to President Muhammadu Buhari on May 29 of the same year.

He therefore said there was no way his administration would be included in the expected probe of allocations to the clinic.

Jonathan stated this in a statement signed by his Media Aide, Mr. Ikechukwu Eze, in Abuja on Saturday.

The statement read, “The House of representatives resolved Thursday 12 October, 2015, to probe 2015-2017 allocations to Aso Rock Clinic and some media reports are needlessly dragging the name of former President Goodluck Jonathan into it.

“We had thought that the media should be the first to remind Nigerians that since Jonathan left office on M…

The Boko Haram Islamist Group Surrendered In Cameroon.

About 60 members of the  Boko Haram Islamist group have surrendered to the authorities in northern Cameroon.

After spending two years with Boko Haram, the men decided to flee with their families and hand themselves in, according to several men who had surrendered and spoke to journalists at a ceremony in the town of Mozogo on Friday.

A total of nearly 400 people originally from Cameroon — 58 men, 86 women and 244 children — said they had been taken hostage by Boko Haram fighters during attacks on their villages and taken to Nigeria, where they were forced to join the jihadist group.

The men told reporters they had fought for Boko Haram and were laying down their arms of their own will.

They surrendered at the border with Nigeria to a village vigilante group formed to combat the jihadists. The vigilantes then handed them over to the authorities.

Ousmane Kouila, head of the group, said they had been out on patrol in the border area when they met the fleeing Boko Haram fighters. “They s…
