Hunger as a weapon of mass destruction.

Suspected Fulani herdsmen have set a farmland belonging to former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Olu Falae on fire on Sunday evening.

The elder statesman who confirmed the development in a chat with newsmen, said suspected herdsmen burnt his farm again, as they do every year.

Speaking further, Falae explained that the herdsmen burnt the farmland, located at Imafon in Akure South Local  Area of Ondo State, so that fresh grass will start springing up in few days for their cattle to feed on.

The State Commissioner of Police, Gbenga Adeyanju, who also confirmed the incident, stated that the command has deployed adequate men to the farmland, led by the Akure Area Commander.

Adeyanju called for calm and assured residents that the command has also commenced investigation to arrest the culprits, since nobody was caught on the scene. on 22/01/2018.
