Rivers State Amnesty Committee Chairman has told two notorious cultists to lay down their arms.

Rivers State Amnesty Committee Chairman and S.A. on Amnesty to Governor Wike, Sir Ken Chinda, has given two notorious cultists namely: Supreme and Mba, in Eleme LGA up till Tuesday next week to submit their arms and turn into a new leaf or be prepared to face the wrath of the Government.

Sir Chinda read the riot act, today, while appearing as a guest on Rhythm 93.7FM, Port Harcourt, topical and current affairs programme, Viewpoint.

The Nigerian Army has confirmed the killing of a notorious criminal in Eleme LGA, Solomon Ogosu, Aka Supreme.

The Army said, Supreme died as a result of profuse bleeding from a bullet wound he sustained when he led his criminal gang to engage the Army in a gun duel, over the weekend.

Supreme was declared wanted by the Rivers State Amnesty Committee headed by Governor Wike's S.A. on amnesty Sir Ken Chinda after several pleas to him to submit his arms and ammunition to the committee were not heeded to.

You will recall that on the 17th of April 2017 the amnesty committee chairman gave two notorious cultists in Eleme LGA, MBA and Supreme till 9 Am of the 18th of April to submit their arms and ammunition to the committee or be prepared to face the wrath of the government.

While MBA heeded to the call and submitted his arms and ammunition the next day, the second cultist, Supreme  refused to embrace the amnesty, and, was again given 9am, the 19th day of April 2017, as the last day of grace to submit his arms and ammunition before the DPO of Eleme Police Divisional Headquarters.

Sir Chinda while giving further grace to SUPREME and to further plead with other cultists to turn into a new leaf, had this to say that day:

"Oh no. I want him to be alive and healthy. It is not our wish that any of them should die. We still love them. They are our children but Satan has stolen their hearts for now."

Supreme was given several grace to live but he reached a decision to die as a criminal. As the saying goes in our common parlance: Everyday na for the thief, one day na for the owner.

 May 22, 2017.

The name Mbajo from Eleme, which the Governor mentioned in the list of mainly criminals that had gone back to criminal activities after embracing the Amnesty rang a bell in my ears, since I followed and reported the above events on the said dates. It is a pity that MBA after embracing the Amnesty has decided to go the same way his friend Solomon Ogosu, A.K.A SUPREME went.

No man go fit fight government when dem ready for you. After God na Government.
