On May 27, Grant told Cassandra and her daughter Adrianna to get dressed because he was taking them out to breakfast. Unknown to them, he had enlisted the help of Cassandra's photographer friend, Mandi Gilliland, who followed them but stayed hidden. He took the ladies for breakfast at Cracker Barrel and afterwards, he drove them to Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve in Fishers, Indiana and Cassandra knew then that something was odd.

Actor Johnny Depp makes Trump Assassination joke

American actor, Johnny Depp during the Glastonbury Festival on Thursday made a joke about killing President Donald Trump.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor asked a large crowd when was the last time an actor assassinated a president. Depp said to the crowd: “Can we bring Trump here? I think he needs help.

“It is just a question — I’m not insinuating anything. By the way, this is going to be in the press. It will be horrible. I like that you’re all part of it. But when was the last time an actor assassinated a president?”

He followed by saying that he is not an actor, but someone who lies for a living.

He said, it’s “been a while, and maybe it’s time.”

This comes recently after Comedian and CNN presenter Kathy Griffin got sacked after sharing graphic images of herself holding a severed head that looks like Trump.

What Too Much Sugar Can Do To A Woman

A nutritionist, Michele Chevalley Hedge, has warned that uncontrolled sugar consumption can lead to a series of complicated health problems that can culminate in infertility among women.

She says one of the diagnosis that women struggling to get pregnant could receive is that they have Polycystic ovarian syndrome.

She warns that in a lot of cases, affected women struggle to fall pregnant without knowing the cause, and are usually later given an upsetting PCOS diagnosis by their doctors.

She said this condition is present in up to 21 per cent of women diagnosed in her clinic, while about 70 per cent of women with the condition remain undiagnosed in the general population.

“The condition (Polycystic ovarian syndrome) can present a number of symptoms — from reduced fertility or absent ovulation to mood changes, obesity and/or acne.

“And despite it being increasingly common, doctors are still unsure of the exact cause,” she notes.
She adds that while there are some cases with unknown causes, s…

Two Right Ways to Respond to Gossip

“You will be gossiped about. If it has not happened yet, get ready, because someday you will find yourself in the cross-hairs of gossip,” writes Matt Mitchell, pastor of Lanse Evangelical Free Church. “Sadly,” he continues, “most of the time you will not know that you are a target of someone’s harmful words. Perniciously, gossip is done behind our backs, when we are not looking, when we are not listening and when we are not present.” Responding to gossip in a godly manner is hard enough when you know who the gossips are and what they are saying.

However, the difficulty is intensified exponentially when you don’t have hard facts to confront, or the people you do confront deny it, pretend they know nothing, or continue to give you the kisses of Judas. Still, you must respond. You will respond. But how?

Respond in Faith
In Psalm 140:1-2, we see David taking his situation to the Lord first. Sadly, when we are gossiped about, we (myself included!) typically “take things into our own hands…

In times like this, Nigeria needs real statesmen

Written by Niran Adedokun

In Nigeria, heroism is an easy milestone. The rest of the sane world would laugh at us if they knew. In other parts of the world that we belong to, you cannot gain the heroic status unless you did something really noble and outstanding, and mostly in the service of humanity.

But not Nigeria. Here, one could be a nonentity yesterday, attain public office by some crookery, eat fat on the bill of the country, become an emergency philanthropist amongst the people who will give one another term and thereafter become an hero.

Sometimes, people attain public office through honest means, go on to live up to the expectations of the electorate, those expectations usually not being substantial, and they are crowned the new hero in town.

That is why when a governor builds schools, resurfaces old, worn-out roads and constructs a few new ones, our people roll out the drums in ecstatic celebrations. We are a people with mean ambitions and that is one chief reason why our leade…

5 Things Couples Get Wrong about Money

“Want to head to the mall with me?” my friend asked one Friday evening.

“Actually, I do need stuff for the kids,” I said. “Great sales are going on.”

I hopped in her car and she began, “I’m so mad at Jim. I’m actually furious. Ignoring my point of view, with most of our credit cards maxed out, he put a down payment on a boat. He knows how I feel about that. But he did what he wanted.”

My friend’s money disagreements were as familiar to me as our shopping trips. Gene and I had the same misalignments of our priorities. I was the saver and he the spender. And we, too, had the same arguments.

“So,” my friend continued, “I think I’ll show him that I can also spend money. In fact, I will get that ring I’ve been wanting for a long time. If he can do what he wants, so can I.”

Should a financial counselor have been riding in the back seat, no doubt, he would have given his professional assessment. And the truth about relationships and money would have been echoing loudly.

So often, as expert…

5 Reasons why Talking to Yourself is not a Sign of Craziness

It has long been described as a sign of madness, before scientists found that it was far from it. Talking to yourself or self-talk is an action that not only helps you materialize your thoughts, but also helps you make better sense of things.

Jumia Travel shares 5 reasons why talking to yourself is anything but crazy.

It Speeds Up Your Brain
Talking to yourself can actually help you complete tasks faster and helps improve your accuracy and performance. Repeating to yourself what you need to find or accomplish helps spark your memory and speeds up the rate at which your brain works in helping to accomplish the task. Talking to yourself also helps improve your self-control, reduces impulsive behavior and even helps improve your decision making.

It Helps You Organize Your Thoughts

When you’re confused or when it seems like your thoughts are running rampant through your mind, talking to yourself help you organize these wild and confusing thoughts. Conversing with yourself, especially when …

How To Teach God's People To Tithe

Expecting people to turn loose of a hefty portion of their hard-earned income, even for the greatest cause in the world, without their being taught how to do this and especially why–is not unlike pitching your kid in deep water and expecting him to swim for the simple reason that doing so is in his best interest.

God’s people must be taught to tithe.

Now, for those wishing to quibble about (a) whether the Bible teaches tithing, (b) whether it’s in the New Testament, or (c) whether we’re being legalistic, may I suggest they skip this article.

This is for church leaders who believe that Jesus is Lord of everything, that He has given to the church–His body–the ministry of reconciliation, and that He expects His disciples to give regularly, generously, and proportionately to fund that work.

This is all about stewardship. “It is required of stewards that each one be found faithful” (I Corinthians 4:2).

This is for church leaders who believe that giving a minimum of one-tenth of their income to…

6 Common Reasons God Does Not Answer Prayer

Sometimes we’re tempted to wonder if God can hear. After months or even years of praying over a particular person or situation, we look for evidence God is getting our message or even paying attention, and we can’t find much. Why is that? Why do the heavens sometimes seem like brass? Doesn’t God love us and care for us? Isn’t he all-powerful?

The phrase brass heavens has its origins in the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Old Testament. It was part of God’s warning to his chosen people Israel, a promised consequence of neglecting to obey his commands. As the nation prepared to enter the Promised Land, we find this among the curses for disobedience given by Moses: “And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron” (Deuteronomy 28:23; KJV). Most recent translations use “bronze” instead of “brass,” but the meaning is the same.

Admittedly, this verse in its context has nothing to do with prayer. Rather, it is a warning from God tha…
