Is Masturbation Good For You?

First up, let's just be honest - 95 percent of men and 72 percent of women reading this are just here to feel good about what you're already doing behind closed doors (hopefully).

But if the rest of you have been holding out your entire lives, just waiting for science to give you a reason to enjoy your alone time a little too much, it's time to cancel your plans and get down to it, because according to the latest episode of AsapSCIENCE, you're doing yourself no favours by... doing yourself no favours.

Despite rumours that masturbation can lead to infertility and even blindness, research has shown that it's actually got a whole lot going for it.

On a very basic level, it releases dopamine - a neurotransmitter that activates the 'pleasure centre' in your brain, and endorphins that actively decrease your perception of pain. For women, that means it can actually reduce the pain of menstrual cramping. Plus you'll get a surge of the hormone prolactin, which wil…

Donald Trump praises his son and Americans react.

President Trump is defending his son after explosive emails were released showing he corresponded with and met a Russian lawyer to get information on Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election.

After a Fox News interview held last night where Donald Trump Jr admitted to meeting Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, President Trump took to Twitter this morning to tweet his support for his son.

He wrote: "My son Donald did a good job last night. He was open, transparent and innocent. This is the greatest Witch Hunt in political history. Sad!"

Soon after, he followed up with another tweet, writing: "Remember, when you hear the word ‘sources say’ from the Fake Media, often times those sources are made up and do not exist."

Reactions immediately followed President Trump's tweet, a number of them disagreeing with him. Some felt Fox host Sean Hannity, who is a staunch supporter of Trump, was sympathetic to Donald Jr, thereby refusing to ask the questions that…

President Trump's behavior is "insulting to Americans”, - David Letterman

Former late night host, David Letterman is tired of all the talk about President Trump's incompetence and wants to see some action. In an interview with the Associated Press published this week, Letterman said,

'I know there's trouble in this country and we need a guy who can fix that trouble. I wish it was Trump, but it's not, so let's just stop whining about what a goon he is and figure out a way to take him aside and put him in a home."

Letterman also said Trump's

"behavior is insulting to Americans, whether you voted for him or not. I feel bad for people who did vote for him because he promised them things that they really needed and one wonders if he's really going to come through. But he's so sensitive. He doesn't understand why people aren't nicer to him in the press and you just say, well, 'Donnie, look at the tone of the campaign that you ran.'

How To Win over Your Spouse Again.

I knew he was my husband on our first date. We were polar opposites: he a logical, mathematical genius and I a free spirited dreamer. At first glance we were an unlikely pair, but I soon discovered what people said about opposites was true: they attract.

He proposed after 6 months. God, in his sovereignty, crafted a much-needed intervention prior to our long awaited nuptials. Finally, after almost two intense years of counseling we crossed the threshold of singleness into what I thought would be a perpetual in-love-euphoria. But I was wrong.

I had not factored in the reality that neither one of us grew up in a two parent home. We had not witnessed what love looked like in the midst of work, stress, misunderstandings, trauma, kids, job loss, irritating quirks and crisis. We were like tourists in a foreign country trying to speak a language we did not know.

Overtime, life seemed to chip away at the infrastructure of our marriage like water on drywall. Eventually, we were left with an erod…

4 Things You Shouldn't Say At Work

There are things we say casually at work without even realizing how damaging they can be to our career. As a result, we must be careful with the things we say at work.

Jumia Travel shares 4 things you say at work that can ruin your career.

Sorry I’m Late – Again

Frequent lateness to work paints you as disrespectful and unable to value time; frequently apologizing for this lateness just makes it worse by additionally painting you as irresponsible. If you were truly serious sorry for your lateness, you would do what it takes to come early regardless of the excuse. You should try to do whatever it takes to be punctual, because the moment frequent lateness is associated with you, it can kill your work reputation in the long run.

That’s Impossible

No manager or employer wants to get the feedback of negativity, lack of conviction and inability to deliver on responsibilities from employees, therefore, rather than saying that what is being asked of you is impossible, simply state your concerns …

Some Truths Daughters Need To Learn From Their Fathers

There’s a lot of pressure on fathers.

In an article for Huffington Post, Dr. Gail Gross writes, “Fathers are central to the emotional well-being of their children. Studies show that if your child’s father is affectionate, supportive, and involved, he can contribute greatly to your child’s cognitive, language, and social development, as well as academic achievement, a strong inner core resource, sense of well-being, good self-esteem, and authenticity.”

Whew. That’s a high-stakes assignment. Dads, we really need to get this thing right, seeing as how it can impact nearly every aspect of our kids’ lives.

The father-daughter relationship is particularly important. According to the Institute for Family Studies, well-fathered daughters are more likely to graduate from college, get higher paying jobs, are more self-disciplined and confident, and are less likely to become sexual active or pregnant in their early teenage years.

How do we even begin to ensure our daughters are “well-fathered”? We…
