Russia Receives 48 Hours From US To Close Three Missions.

In a retaliatory move, the US government has given Russia 48 hours to close three of its missions in San Francisco, Washington D.C. and New York.

The spokesperson of the U.S. Department of State, Heather Nauert, said in a statement on Thursday that the move was to achieve parity in diplomatic missions.

Moscow had asked Washington to reduce its missions officials in Russia in retaliation for the seizure of property belonging to Russians and expulsion of dozens of Russian nationals by President Barack Obama.

Obama took the decision on the eve of the end of his tenure in January in retaliation against Russia’s alleged meddling in the Nov. 8, 2016, U.S. presidential election.

“The United States has fully implemented the decision by the Government of the Russian Federation to reduce the size of our mission in Russia.

“We believe this action was unwarranted and detrimental to the overall relationship between our countries.

U.S. To Investigates Oil Firm For Bribing Nigerians With $100m

Indications emerged Wednesday that the China Petroleum and Chemical Corp., known as Sinopec, is being investigated by the United States’ authorities over allegations of bribe payments totalling $100 million to Nigerian officials to resolve a business dispute.

According to Bloomberg investigations, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Justice Department, are investigating claims that lawyers acting as middlemen for Sinopec allegedly funnelled illicit payments to the yet-to-be-named Nigerians from its Swiss unit through New York and California.

When Life Is Hard,What You Need To Do.

I have a great, big imagination that I thank God for because it brings immense creativity to my life. However, there is a downside to it. I can see a lot of wonderful scenarios happening in my future. Some of which give me a direction to walk toward and may even be from God. But others may simply be of my own mind and not a plan for my future. I can want a lot of things that may not actually be the best for me.

God seems to sort through the multiple scenarios that get caught in my head. Some of them may come to be and some of them won’t. The expectations that aren’t from God will dissipate over time. The ones that are from God will grow over time.

This growth requires patience, faithfulness, and even self-control...

God uses trials in life to grow this fruit in my life. Not everything that I can dream will come to fruition. Life is harder than I expect. And this is a good thing.

A good thing? How can that be?

Jesus said, “Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take hear…

In Kenya, Supreme Court Nullifies Presidential Election.

Kenya’s Supreme Court on Friday declared the results of last month’s presidential poll “invalid, null and void” and ordered the election be re-run within 60 days.
“The presidential election held on August 8 was not conducted in accordance with the constitution,”
said Chief Justice David Maraga, ruling in favour of the opposition which challenged the declaration of President Uhuru Kenyatta as the winner.

Maraga said this was a majority decision, with two judges dissenting.

The shock ruling was a rare example of a poll result being overturned, with Maraga saying the election commission (IEBC) “failed, neglected or refused to conduct the presidential election in a manner consistent with the dictates of the constitution”.
According to AFP, he validated opposition leader Raila Odinga’s argument that there had been “irregularities and illegalities”, notably in the transmission of election results.

Maraga said this had compromised the “integrity of the entire presidential election”.
