Grammy award winning rapper, Lil Wayne was rushed to the hospital on Sunday afternoon after suffering an epileptic seizure and being found unconscious in his hotel room.


Wayne was admitted to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where according to TMZ, he got hit with another attack.

This won’t be the first time the 34-year-old would be hospitalized as the New Orleans rapper has long suffered from neurological disorder and has been hospitalized several times in recent years, including a six-day stay in 2013 after which he told radio station Power 106 that he was epileptic and prone to seizures.

In a statement issued in Lagos yesterday the minister urged Nigerians to disregard the news. The statement was signed by the Special Adviser to the minister, Mr Segun Adeyemi.


The minister said one of the numerous parody Twitter accounts in his name — “@MohammedLai”, was used to disseminate the fake and ludicrous news that claimed that President Buhari was due to leave Nigeria for the U.S. on Monday ”to condole with President Donald Trump over the floods in Houston”.

The Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Foreign Affairs, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa has again condemned the incessant extra judicial killing of Nigerians living in South Africa.

    She said the fact that the killings have continued, showed that South African government was downplaying possible retaliation by Nigeria.


In a statement on Saturday by her special assistant on media, Abdurrahman Balogun, the presidential aide said “this is one death, too many.”

She said diplomatic talks between Nigeria and South Africa to put an early warning signal in place “doesn’t seem to be working”.

Recall that the Nigeria Union in South Africa confirmed the killing of another member, Kingsley Ikeri, at Vryheid town in Kwazulu Natal Province of South Africa on August 30.

Ikeri, 27, a businessman and native of Mbaitolu in Imo State, is the second Imo indigene to be so killed in the last two weeks.
