The Dangers Of Engaging In Oral Sex; Gynaecologist.

A professor, identified as Adegboyega Fawole of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, UITH, has warned that Human Papiloma Virus (HPV) has been found in the throat of people engaging in Oral s*x.

Mr. Fawole, who is of the Department of Gynaecology, UITH, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Ilorin on Tuesday that HPV was mostly sexually transmitted.

He said that the virus caused almost all cases of cervical cancer and could cause private part warts and an*l cancer.

“Oral s*x has been linked with an increased risk of acquiring HPV infection in the mouth and with an increased risk of developing oral cancers that are caused by HPV.

He said, “However, s*x in general has also been linked with these risks”.

The gynaecologist warned that those engaging in oral s*x were twice more likely to have oral HPV infection than those who did not engage in oral s*x.

Mr. Fawole, however, said there was no need for individuals in monogamous relationships to restrict their s*xual activities if the pa…

Resuming sexual Activities After A C- Section.

If you’ve had a cesarean delivery and are recovering, resuming any activity in the bedroom is probably the last thing on your mind.

Even so, you’re probably wondering when you’ll be able to have s*x again and what it will feel like. While some people may think that having a cesarean delivery means you will have less problem resuming s*xual activity simple because there isn’t as much trauma to the vaginal area, that isn’t always the case.

It’s still common for women who have had cesarean deliveries to experience s*xual struggles, especially in the early postpartum period. Studies have shown that both women with vaginal and C-section births report s*xual challenges in the first three months after giving birth.

When can I have s*x?

There’s no one-time fits all when it comes to returning to s*xual activity after a cesarean delivery, but many women will wait between four and six weeks before resuming intercourse.

Although you may experience slightly less bleeding with a cesarean section, i…

ASUU Has Blamed FG For The Delay To Call Off Strike.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities has told Students and Parents that the Federal Government is to blamed for the continuation of the ongoing strike which entered the third week on Monday.

ASUU Chairman at the University of Ibadan, Dr. Deji Omole, who said this on a radio programme monitored in Ibadan, said the Federal Government could end the strike by implementing the agreement it reached with the union.

He said ASUU had only called on the Federal Government to use public funds to develop public education in the country.

The ASUU chairman also noted that the union would not shy away from embracing purposeful dialogue with the authorities..
“ASUU has never run away from negotiation. The issue in contention is about implementation and not negotiation as being peddled by the Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige.

“It is sad that successive governments, including the incumbent, failed to realise that funding education is an investment which can bring about enduring positive change in the co…

MASSOB Leader, Ralph Uwazuruike Has Alleged That Kanu Accepts Gift From FG.

The founder of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, Ralph Uwazuruike, has alleged that the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has been compromised, adding that he accepted a mansion built for him in London by Federal Government of Nigeria.

Uwazuruike said this in a chat with The Interview, a monthly magazine.

The MASSOB founder said Kanu had been secretly recruited by the Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government to destroy the Biafran movement from within.

He said, “Apparently they saw Nnamdi Kanu as someone of high value for use. They heard him shouting on radio and approached him and he accepted. Naturally, only a strong, principled man can say no because they will give you irresistible offers.

“I know the mansions Nnamdi Kanu and people like him have abroad, given to them by the same government, – the same security agencies. Don’t worry, the truth will emerge soon.”

Uwazuruike said Kanu’s insistence “on the boycott of the Anambra State…

Brain Damaged After Being Underwater For 15 Minutes.

Researchers in the US have reported what they believe is a first-of-its-kind reversal of brain damage, after treating a drowned and resuscitated toddler with a combination of oxygen therapies.

The little girl, whose heart didn't beat on her own for 2 hours after drowning, showed deep grey matter injury and cerebral atrophy with grey and white matter loss after the incident, and could no longer speak, walk, or respond to voices – but would uncontrollably squirm around and shake her head.

Amazingly, thanks to a course of oxygen treatments – including hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) – administered by a team from LSU Health New Orleans and the University of North Dakota, doctors were able to significantly reverse the brain damage experienced by the toddler.

"The startling regrowth of tissue in this case occurred because we were able to intervene early in a growing child, before long-term tissue degeneration," says hyperbaric specialist Paul Harch from the LSU Health New Orlean…
