BREAKING NEWS: SON OF KING ABAOMEGE TORTURED TO DEATH BY THE POLICE.

It was a tragedic easter in Abaomege community, Onicha LGA of Ebonyi State as young and promising son of the community met his untimely death in the police custody. The boy Kelechi Gabriel Ineke, son of His royal highness Eze Gabriel Ineke, king of Abaomege community was on Wednesday 28th March 2018 arrested over a fight with a son of a police officer simply identified as Umet.

According to the brother of the deceased Prince Nnamdi Ineke, when asked, he said that the young man, that is his brother, was said to have fought with a police man's son of the same age mate. The police son left the scene of the fight only to come back with his father who is a police officer serving in Abaomege to arrest the prince.

Governor Wike approves Committee to manage Rumuokoro Market and Park

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has approved the establishment of a Committee for the Management of Rumuokoro Market and Park.

The Committee approved by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike is as follows:

1. Chief Owhonda Emmanuel--- Chairman

2. Mrs Ifeoma Rose Ayeoze (Non Indigenous Traders Union Rep)   ----Member

3. Mrs Rose Nwanwa Okoro (Indigenous Traders Union Rep)    -----Member

A statement by Simeon Nwakaudu,  the Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media noted that the Rivers State Governor directed the members of the Committee for the Management of Rumuokoro Market and Park to liaise with the Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Projects for the immediate commencement of work.
